My local Fire Department (Eustis, Florida) makes the best food in the area.  Seriously.

I’ve been helping them out today by constructing finger sandwiches, but the firefighters have been busy doing what they do best:  WORKING WITH FIRE!

Of course, I mean to say that they’re grilling some chicken wings that have been making my mouth water for the last two hours.

I asked for their special marinade recipe, and they kindly offered it to my readers.

EUSTIS FIRE DEPARTMENT MARINADE & BBQ RECIPE

Ingredients:
One part white vinegar
one part worcestershire sauce
Soy sauce to taste
Fresh lemon juice to taste

Directions:
Mix ingredients and place in a spray bottle.  Spread uncooked meat on tray and spray with marinade.  Let sit for 30 minutes.  While grilling, spray meat each time you flip.  Fire will flare so be prepared.

Marinade will keep meat (especially chicken) moist on the grill and give it a great taste without burning like BBQ sauce does.

Will keep for a month or longer in the fridge.  However, if you leave the lemon juice out, it will last even longer.

Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got to go steal a chicken wing while they’re not looking!
